It has been a long process getting the house put together. Since my family moved into Grandma's and Papa's house it has been about 3 years of construction and remodeling. And though the house is still far from done, it has really come a long way. My mom still needs to put in flowers, have the house painted, and the landscape man still needs to finish a few key elements. When my family first lived there, they had everyone living in only three rooms for several months: my mom, dad and Jeff in one room, Heather in her room, and of course my Grandma in her room. Danny and I were glad we were away at college during that stage of the construction! Now that the construction is basically done, everyone loves it. We have a huge office with a few computers and tons of space to spread out. There is a guest room and everyone has their own bedroom now. Even the grandchildren have their own little place to play and keep all their toys. The house has changed so much, but at the same time it is still the same house that we loved to come over to and play at when we were little. We have so many fond memories at Grandma and Papa's house. The house is different enough, though, that it now feels like it is my parents' house instead of still my grandparents'. My grandma and grandpa would love the house now. Before my grandma passed away she saw all the main construction and the plans for the landscape. The house even has a rose garden like it did before - it is a memorial garden for them because Papa loved roses. The inside of the house just needs to be decorated and then the house will be done. The house is really coming together and looks great!

Great picture. I hope you don't mind if I comment. Let me know if you do. I agree - I think the house is so different, but still so the same. It's the same house even if it's just the outside structure that is the same. It's still got those touches, and the same general layout. It's kinda weird to think about how much has changed in that house!
