The Great Park Ballon

The last several months I have been wanting to go on this balloon ride at the El Toro Marine Base but every time we have tried to go it has been closed due to the weather or repairs. Well, Saturday we decided to go and Danny and his friend from out of town came along. Robbie Hamill was in town and wanted to visit the family so he came along with his girlfriend Hanna. Scott and Kelli Hales came a little late as well. Danny's friend from school was staying with the Hales so that is how Scott and Kelli heard about it and they thought it sounded fun so we invited them. It was fun, and best of all it was free. The ride all together is no more than ten minutes long so it was quick, but just the right amount of time. In actuality, it wasn't all that amazing but it was nice going for an outing. Ethan loved being outside.
Here are some facts about the Great Park Balloon: "It is the largest tethered helium balloon in the country. It is environmentally safe, non-polluting and totally silent. The balloon is tethered to the ground with a steel cable and is never in a state of free flight, making it fun for all ages."
"Balloon riders will soar between 250-400 feet above the surrounding landscape, enjoying a bird's eye view of the transformation of the retired air station into the first great metropolitan park of the 21st Century."
