He may be cute, but...

Don't be deceived by this little face - it can be deceptive at times. This little boy woke at 3:30am this morning and never went back to sleep. We got him up to go to the bathroom and even gave him some milk, but after much crying and very short breaks in between he never gave in. His normal wake time of 5am is crazy but 3:30am is insane and we don't know what to do with him. He is not one to lay in bed with you, or quietly play or watch TV while you sleep. He is ready to go for the day and never stop! I couldn't imagine what it would be like to have a child who woke at a normal hour (as in, after the sun comes up). Hopefully sooner than later he will start to enjoy sleep. I don't know how we can add an infant into this madness in a few short months. Getting up several times in the night with an infant and then up for the day at the crack of dawn will take a toll on us very fast. As you can imagine our mornings are already long with a fussy toddler boy. We don't give into him or let him get up when he wakes, but the constant crying makes it so you lose sleep either way. What to do?

On a happier note, we went to Disneyland with Dad and Mom last night and had a great time. Ethan was great and loved being back at Disneyland. It has been a while since we have gone, and we plan on going a lot now since our passes expire in March. Last night we rode several of our favorite rides and saw the parade as we walked out. It is cute to see Ethan light up when he sees the Disney characters in the parade. I wish we had our camera with us because, like always, there were several photo moments.
