Thanksgiving 2008 in Cottonwood, ArizonaToday Ethan and I surprised Matt for his birthday by taking him lunch at work. We were able to eat lunch with him and visit with the office staff. It was nice to be able to spend some time with him on his birthday.
Here are some fun facts about Matt:
-He served his mission in Melbourne, Australia, Spanish speaking.
-He is Stake President of the Orange Stake.
-He is a dermatologist and just received an award for being one of the top doctors in Orange County - what an achievement!
-He enjoys music and knows a lot of "hip" songs.
-He is a busy person but still finds time for his family.
-He is adventurous and loves to go on trips with his family.
-He is into photography and has developed a great talent for it.
-He enjoys planes and is close to getting his pilot's license.
-His favorite dessert is chocolate chip cookies and he can eat them unlike anyone I know!
-He has a great love for the Savior.
-He is someone many people look up to because of his great example.
-He has helped inspire his children to want to become doctors.
-He can play the piano and enjoys singing as well.
-Growing up his family went to Lake Powell and he has continued that tradition with his family.
-He knows how to grill on the BBQ and he can make some amazing chicken.
-He enjoys playing tennis, especially with his family.
-He is an all-around talented person.
-He is a wonderful Grandpa whose first grandchild bears his name - Ethan Matthew.
-He does so much for his family and we are so grateful for his love and example to us.
