Yesterday we went to Newport Beach to watch some of the Brooks' cousins. While there, we took the opportunity to go down to the water to get some cute pictures. Ethan really liked the water but not the sand. He doesn't like surfaces that are rough or that have different textures. He especially loved the seagulls and planes flying overhead. The little boy was in heaven!
This morning I went walking with my Dad for Prop 8. The last several weeks the church members in California have been walking in different area codes to get the word out about Prop 8. We are going around to let people know about it and see how they will vote. If they are in favor of it we ask them if they are willing to help in any way, such as displaying a sign in their yard, walking, or being willing to donate. Today went really well. Everyone but one person said they were going to vote yes on Prop 8. The lady that said no was very nice about it. You never know what kind of people you are going to get. I was amazed at how many people were still in their pajamas around 10-10:30am.
Tonight we had smores with some friends across the street with the BBQ. Earlier today, I was at the park with Ethan and I overheard a lady say she was going to the beach to have a bonfire and smores. Mary-Ann and I thought that was a great idea so we got the stuff and did it ourselves over a BBQ in the community park. The kids loved it and so did we. Well, tomorrow we are going to Tustin 3rd ward for Evan's blessing. It will be fun to go to church with family and have good food afterwards.
