Tonight Santa and Mrs. Claus came to pay us a visit. For the last several years, the Tustin Police station escorts Santa up and down the streets of Tustin to say hi to the little boys and girls. They started doing this when I was around 10 years old. It's a neat way to kick off the Christmas season.

So tonight we went down to Tustin to our old house on Marshall Lane to watch Santa come down the street (they don't do it at my parents' house). The Brooks, Mom and Jeff came as well. Santa first goes down the street with a police car announcing over the loud speaker that Santa is here. The little kids come out and Santa stops to say hi and gives each child a candy cane.

Ethan didn't like Santa so much. He was holding on for dear life. Once he was away from Santa he was happy again and looked on with intrigue. He especially liked the lights on the float. Ethan also loves the Christmas lights as we drive through the streets, and will point at them.

Maybe once Ethan gets older, and realizes that Santa brings him gifts, he will like him better. In this picture Ethan had just gone over to say hi to Santa which is why he is holding on so tight. As Santa was leaving and shouting "ho, ho, ho," Ethan watched him and repeated "ho, ho." It was pretty cute.

You can't forget Mrs. Claus and all the work she does. I am sure Mrs. Claus is the driving force in the North Pole that makes Christmas a success every year. Well, the kids had a fun time and it was neat seeing our old house and neighborhood.

It was so cute when Ethan pointed to the car all the while keeping a watchful eye on Santa. He was all for going home!
