This morning started out early at the Orange Stake Center to run the 5k. Mary-Ann and I were both in some pain but made it in an ok time - but most importantly, we weren't the last ones to cross the finish line. All the Goodmans but Joy and Kay ran the race with us, and Heather, Doug and my dad ran as well. It was fun to have everyone running together.
After the run we went with my family to their ward 4th of July breakfast. We had a pleasant afternoon getting ready for Lake Powell, playing games and eating food. In the evening the boys swam in the spa with Papa and we had a fireworks show in the backyard. Ethan was so cute with the fireworks - each time he would grab Jared's hands and bring them up in front of his eyes to hide as the fireworks went off. He wasn't necessarily afraid, but liked having Jared's hands there for reassurance. He enjoyed holding the sparklers and was really good with them. It was a great 4th!
We leave tomorrow for Lake Powell for a few days with Dad and Danny and then we are off to the Grand Canyon for a day. We are excited for a little vacation but are sad Jared will be staying behind to work.
