Is that a pink bib Ethan?

I had to take a picture of Ethan today because he is wearing a girly bib. I ran out of clean bibs and burp cloths but Mom happened to have an old pink bib that saved his outfit. You've got to love pink with butterflies on a baby boy. It looked pretty funny!

Today we went to Costco to get some food storage in case of an emergency. I got things that will last and things we would actually want to eat. I got beans, corn, canned chicken, tuna, tomato soup, granola bars, mandarin oranges and a few other things along those lines. It is hard to have food storage in an apartment because the space is so limited. If something were to happen though we would want that food over decorations or something else that is taking up the space where the food could have gone so we are starting to stock up.

Things are going well for Jared. He is doing well but has long days. We have been together everyday for the last eight weeks so when he went back we both felt like we hadn't seen each other for days. I don't hear from him most days because he doesn't really have a break. He is still trying to figure out his schedule and routine.

There have been 18 wild fires in California since Sunday. We have had Santa Ana winds that have started most of these fires. There is one in Orange County that has threatened several people's homes that we know and that fire was started by arson. Laurie and John's home was looking like it was threatened for a while but luckily their home is fine. For a time the fire was in Irvine by Foothill Ranch but then it continued up in the hills into Santiago Canyon so we were all able to relax a bit. The Brooks gathered all their important items and packed up a few cars full of their stuff just in case something happened. The air the last several days has been so smokey with ash all over. It is so sad that so many people have lost their homes.
