Enough to make you sick

Today a family of four came in to be seen by one of our doctors. This was not our normal acne, wart, or skin cancer check. The whole family had Bot Fly Larva's living in their head. The family went on a vacation to another country and came back with larva growing in their head. It took them a while to discover this because at first they were just eggs. The dad woke up one morning with a worm on his pillow and then the next week the little boy discovered one on his. They finally realized something was wrong when worms were coming out of their pillows and they had lumps on their heads. This picture is just one of the 18 that were taken out of the four of them. Pretty nasty! The pictures they took to put in their charts were really cool because it showed their head with half a worm coming out. Seeing that made me get itchy. The nurse that went in the room with the doctor said their heads were lumpy with bumps that looked like craters from the larva. They had to surgically remove them from their heads. The things you see in a Dermatology office sometimes! I just thought I would share that interesting story.
