In the beginning of July my mom planned some pumpkin seeds and now we have several pumpkins that are ready. So far we have 11 pumpkins that are growing strong. This morning my mom cut 5 of them that are ready for carving or decorating the house with. Buddy and Jack each have a pumpkin of their own. Over the last month or so Clayton has been watching his pumpkin grow. Sometimes when I come home for lunch or c

ome over he wants me to go out back and see his pumpkin in Nana's garden. It is neat to see him enjoy holidays a little more because he actually knows what is going on. The five that were cut today are an early variety so they are ready about two weeks before the others. There are still several that are green and will be prefect for the holid

ay. There are pumpkins that are all shapes and sizes. This morning when my mom cut them she gave the pumpkins a bath. When Clayton and Jack come over she is going to lay them back in the garden so Clayton can bring it in the house himself. I am sure he will be so thrilled to pick his pumpkin. It has been fun to have a garden in the backyard this year.
