Friday-August 4

This morning we arrived in Freeport and went snorkeling. It was the best snorkeling we have seen yet. We were able to swim with coral all around us and there were fish swimming right around you. One of the workers threw a piece of bread right up to us and the fish were swarming around Joy and me. We were unaware of it at the time but it was fun to see all of them around. The fish were so pretty, some with multi-colors and we also saw an eel. The island itself was not much to look at as well as the water but we were able to see fish so that was nice. It was fun because at each port we got to see something that you hadn’t seen at the port before. After snorkeling we headed to the beach to see if we would find someone to take us parasailing. We found a company who would take us out and best of all we could go in pairs, which was so fun. I had only been once before in Mexico on my last cruise and you had to go by yourself. It was nice to share the experience with someone while you were up there. Jared and I were kind of nervous for the take-off and landing but it went well. Everyone had a blast! We took off from a platform that was in the middle of the ocean and landed back on the platform. While we were waiting to go out it started to get a little stormy, with black clouds and some thunder. When Jared and I were up there it started to sprinkle a little bit. It weren’t too nervous about it but there were still some more people to go after us and we were glad our group got to go before the wind picked up. While we were on the beach Joy got her hair braided. Everywhere you walk someone wants to braid your hair. Once we got back on the boat we went to dinner, which was a formal night. For dinner I had the jumbo shrimp, which was good. I love shrimp so whenever it has been on the menu I have gotten it. We then went to the show, which was of the dancers singing and dancing songs from the 80’s. Afterwards, some of us went to karaoke but Joy ended up being the only one who sung tonight. At 12am they had an ice sculpture buffet, which was really nice. They had sculpted a huge dragon and a ship out of ice. We were smart and went just to take pictures and see it before it opened so we would not be tempted to eat anything.
